Preparing Children for School
School preparation isn’t about early academics. It’s about building confidence, independence, social skills, problem-solving ability, and love of learning.

What Children Do Each Day
Morning circle might explore moon phases children noticed, plan building projects, or share weekend experiences. Teachers follow children’s interests rather than predetermined themes.
Extended play periods allow deep engagement. One child might spend 45 minutes constructing with blocks, testing balance and stability. Another explores mixing colours with watercolours. A small group collaborates on a cardboard creation that evolves over several days.
Outdoor time happens daily. Children climb, dig, observe insects, build with natural materials, or create obstacle courses. Weather doesn’t stop outdoor learning, it creates different opportunities.
Mealtimes are social and unhurried. Children serve themselves, pour their own water, clear their plates. These moments build independence and social skills.
Rest time gives younger children sleep while older children engage in quiet activities like puzzles, books or drawing.
Qualified Teachers and Low Ratios
All teachers are qualified with specialist backgrounds including kindergarten teaching, special education and environment design. Our team.

We’re at 36 Allum Street, Kohimarama, approximately 20 minutes from Remuera. Route via Remuera Road to Tamaki Drive is direct. Driveway available for drop-off.
Open Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm. Most children attend 4-5 days weekly.
